From Hayden Airport
Flying into the Yampa Valley Airport leaves you only 20 minutes from downtown Steamboat Springs. After departing the airport, follow signs to Highway 40. Once you arrive at Highway 40, turn east and travel approximately 17 miles into downtown Steamboat. Turn right on 7th Street, and look for the bronze statue of Carl Howelsen on the corner outside the Discovery Center.

From Denver
Only 165 miles separates Denver from Steamboat Springs. This three hour drive takes you through some of Colorado’s most scenic landscapes. Beginning in Denver, travel west on interstate 70 approximately eighty miles. in Silverthorne, take Exit 205 North onto Highway 9. Travel thirty seven miles through rolling range land, cross the Colorado River, and enter the town of kremmling. go to the stoplight and turn left onto Highway 40. Travel West, cross Rabbit Ears Pass, and descend into the quiet western town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
